These are uncertain times, but you can count on SAYBL to keep your safety close to heart. We are modifying our upcoming season to maximize the fun and minimize the risk to your family by following guidelines laid out by the Medical Officer of Health and Alberta Health. Due to the recent public health updates, we are postponing our season until it is safe to play.
We have our eyes set on the Spring for our season, and based on our survey results it sounds like you do too. Thank you everyone for your patience, support, and of course for your feedback!
We believe that each player deserves an equal amount of court time as their teammates, regardless of their skill or experience level.
We encourage our players to grow and develop their skills on the court with the help of our skilled volunteer coaches and assistant coaches.
As a non-competitive league, we don’t keep team statistics or rankings - it’s more important to us that everyone has fun and plays their best!
We believe in including everyone - no matter their race, religion, gender, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or anything else that makes them who they are.

Coaching is extremely rewarding - you get to watch your team grow together and master the skills you teach them, and there's nothing quite like giving back to the community.
There's no job quite like officiating - you get to know the players and coaches in the league, build your knowledge of the game and get paid to do it!
